Effective 26 August 2026
DockMaster is a work tool for marinas. We do not run ads, we do not track you across apps or websites, and we do not sell or share your information with data brokers.
Your marina's records — boats, work orders, tickets, time entries, notes, parts, photos, and invoices — are stored in your marina's own account on our servers, and a copy is kept on each phone that signs in so the app keeps working without a signal.
Each marina's records are held in a separate, isolated store. A person signed into one marina cannot reach another marina's records. We do not sell this data, do not use it for advertising, and do not use it to build profiles.
Deleting the app removes that phone's copy; your marina's records remain in its account so the rest of your crew keep working. To remove the records themselves, use Delete Account inside the app — see "Your choices" below.
Passwords are never stored in readable form. Each one is salted and put through a slow, repeated hashing process, and only that result is kept. We cannot read your password, tell it to you, or recover it — which is why a forgotten administrator password is replaced with a new one rather than revealed.
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Name, email address, phone number, role | To create accounts and identify who requested, dispatched, or performed work. |
| Boat details (name, make, hull ID, slip) | So technicians work on the correct vessel. |
| Photos you attach | To document a problem or completed work on a ticket. |
| Work notes, hours, and parts | To record the job and calculate the invoice. |
All of the above is used only to make the app work. None of it is used for advertising or profiling, and none of it is used to track you across other companies' apps or sites.
The app asks for photo access only when you choose to attach a photo, and it receives only the images you pick. It does not browse your library.
When a customer pays an invoice by card, the payment is handled by Stripe on Stripe's own hosted checkout page. DockMaster never sees, handles, or stores card numbers.
To create that payment page, our server sends Stripe only what is needed to charge it:
Stripe processes this as an independent controller under its own privacy policy. Our server passes the request through and does not keep its own copy of the invoice.
The marina subscription is purchased through Apple and its status is managed for us by RevenueCat. So that every member of a marina's crew is covered regardless of which Apple ID they use, the app identifies the marina to RevenueCat with a random internal identifier — not a name or an email address. Apple handles the payment itself and does not give us your payment details.
See RevenueCat's privacy policy and Apple's privacy policy.
Invite links carry their code in the part of the web address that browsers keep on the device and never transmit. The invite code is therefore not sent to our server when someone opens an invite link.
Each marina also has a short join code its office can read out. We store that code alongside the marina's name so the app can tell someone which marina they are about to join. Entering a code does not grant access on its own: technicians and managers still need the marina administrator's approval before they can sign in.
So you can sign out a lost or stolen phone, we record the device name iOS reports, when each device first signed in, and when it was last used. Nothing else about the device is collected, and there is no location tracking.
The app contains no advertising SDKs and no cross-app tracking. We do not use the Advertising Identifier and do not ask for tracking permission, because we do not track.
DockMaster is a tool for marina businesses and is not directed to children under 13.
If we change how data is handled, we will update this page and its effective date. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
